Messages are only going to email within the domain
« on: October 09, 2007, 04:08:44 PM »
That's funny.

Everything seems to be running fine, but when I send a messages - the only recipients are the ones with an email address of the domain the script is sitting on.

What gives?

Pete

Pete,

Copy and paste your script options.  I am not aware of any referrer check within the script.

Hi digiPete,

You might want to ask about this with your server support team.  It seems they do some filtering, which is quite odd, as usual they will often block mail to the same domain.

Hello Jason and All,

The more I think about it, this is either a problem with the Sendmail program or maybe even the MX records for the hosting account.

At least this is what I think after sleeping on it.  In any event I really don't think it has anything to do with this script.

I'll speak to the hosting support and let you guys know what I find out.

I appreciate the help.

Pete

Hi Pete,

I am even quite sure it's a server setup or policy problem there  ;)

On all hosts the script will do the same, that is opening a pipe construct to sendmail and send the message.  It will not do anything different based on your host.  So yes, I guess your hosting support will have to cough up a reason why sendmail refuses to send mails to another domain than your own  :)

Good luck anyway!
