« on: September 21, 2006, 07:24:41 PM »
Hello
I have install the galleryscript and news succesful on my server.
But there is a strange thing going on, when i make a add news thats works fine, but when i put in a picture, he wil place the picture in da right folder, example: www.domain.com/pics but he don't show the picture.
When i change de cmod with ftp from 600 to 644 he wil show the picture, als the same problem with the gallery script.
When i upload a photo, it seems te be fine but i don;t see any photo, when i look with ftp i see the pics/photos had cmod 600, when i change that to 644, its works.
Is there a cmod problem or, can u help me?
Thanks anyway, great script!!

This is probably because your host makes the script run under odd permissions.  Because of that, files created by the script cannot be served by the web server.

The solution is to put a line:

`umask xxx`;
(those are backticks, not normal quotes)

underneath

#!/usr/bin/perl

But you need to contact your host so they can tell you the value of xxx that is needed on their server to make the files be created as 644.
