Local Form Testing
« on: August 09, 2007, 08:54:19 AM »
Before I upload everything to the web server, I'd like to test the functionality of the form locally. By that, I mean that I'd like to run the script and test it on my computer before puting it on the web server. Is there a way to do that?

Thanks for your help,

Rami

The scripts are not really made to run from windows, so if you have a linux machine you could.  But either way, windows or linux you would have to have perl 5.06+ I think installed and ready to run.  If you are unfamiliar with how to load such a thing on your local computer, I suggest not trying.  I would however suggest just testing your work on a test directory on your web space.  Makes much more sense to test in the real environment.

I agree with Jason.  If you really want to do local testing, then download and install the following:

Apache web server
ActivePerl

mailing and uploading images on windows will not work.

We cannot however provide support for such DIY environments.

Good luck.
